Pench — The Unblemished Beauty of Nature

India is a land of wonders and it is ineffable to describe its beauty in words. The Kashmir valley along with the snow-capped Himalayan mountain range in the north mesmerises visitors and needs no introduction.

Even the central part of India does not lag in exhibiting its beauty. Tall rugged mountains, cascading waterfalls, and deciduous forests which provide shelter to wildlife all claim their share of praise.

Our everyday chores and stressful city lives leave us exhausted almost every day. Weekends provide an escape — an opportunity to travel and return to something quieter.

Located in the Seoni and Chhindwara districts of Madhya Pradesh, Pench encompasses an area of 292 sq. km. The landscape comprises the Indira Priyadarshini Pench National Park, Mowgli Pench Sanctuary, and buffer.

The jungle safari makes the experience both comfortable and thrilling. The park hosts a large number of flora and fauna, but the main attraction of the jungle is its king. Your expedition into the forest is what most visitors come for.

The enchanting view of the forest will inspire artists to paint it, and it inspired Rudyard Kipling to write The Jungle Book in 1894. It is unknown to many of us that the entire setting of that story is drawn from this very landscape.

With the fading sunlight, darkness descends and one can also enjoy an adventurous night safari. The glittering eyes of forest animals and the sound of crickets will make your jungle stay vivid.

To sum up, Pench is the source to get back to nature, away from concrete, cement and cacophonous urban lives. A lazy river, overgrown trees, predators and prey, and trodden snaky aisles — this is why we built a camp on Kohka Lake at the edge of it all.
